I actually didn't know this was a thing; it makes sense I guess - conductive fence killing a bunch of cows in a line would be pretty spectaculardirected energy weapons are no meme
pretty sure that's from the US' plane-mounted anti-ICBM laser - had to be mounted on a cargo plane and the bulk of the cargo plane's carrying capacity was taken up by the chemicals used to rapidly produce enough electricity to power the laser... and even that gave it 2-3 shots. what's more is the laser only had a range of a few KM, so it'd have to already be in the air and on the trajectory of an ICBM to even have a chance of shooting it down
if you were to use it on a cow for some reason it'd probably just burn an inch-wide hole through it and set the ground on fire, not kill the whole herd -
