I remember a very detailed and specific post circa 2000-2001 about summoning a demon or some being with a mirror in a river. It was very long and detailed, outlining all these specifics of how to attach the mirror to something, what to do and not to etc.
Out of fucking nowhere while I was driving I remembered this shit today. No idea what triggered it. I can't find anything because &T died years ago when Jeff Hunter pulled the plug. It moved over to Zoklet which was never the same
All i'm trying to do is find the fucking creepypasta. This was true original OG internet shit that creeped the fuck out of me. Google shows that other people remember this but is extremely vague.
Wayback Machine doesn't work doesn't work either. If any original &T members lurk they are almost definitely on 4chan.

I know exactly the story you're talking about, was creepy as fuck when I first read it late one night/early one morning. Don't have a copy though, but I could swear I've seen it around not too long ago, so it is out there still.

Today i bring you a theory of substance.
These are things we know:
1) NirvanaNET was an umbrella network for alternative BBSs.
2) It was started by three people,by Joe Russack, aka Dr. Strangelove (Sysop of Just Say Yes), Jeff Hunter, aka Taipan Enigma (sysop of &TOTSE), and Ratsnatcher (Sysop of Rat head Systems).
Where at these people now:
1) Joe Russack is this guy: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1940310/
2)Ratsnatcher is the guy pictured here: http://www.pigdog.org/the_vault/pig/rathead.html — after some sleuthing, I've determined that his name is Zach Copely. He works for identica now. https://plus.google.com/117848251937215158042/posts – He tries to cover it up but he is pigdog himself.
This leaves Jeff Hunter. It was the most difficult one, but i think he is this guy: szarka.org

Maybe you forget how paranoid the world became for a few months after 911. They were shooting car shoppers on the street because they thought they were muslim terrorists. You didn't want to be encouraging kids to do night ops or sticking potatoes in tail pipes - they'd get killed.
I remember a fire alarm went off (false alarm) in a library over here, and all the yuppies were noping the fuck out of there like crazy.
The jedi media was encouraging fear by talking about how Osama bin Laden had hidden terror fortresses under hollowed out mountains in Afghanistan, and it was taken seriously.
I really regret dumping the paper I first seen this in, the WSJ Europe. I should have framed it, but didn't know any better.
People were geared up for war and really scared.
Whereas now we have war and people don't even realise it is happening. -
