Add a "Show Image" option

    For the users who have images turned off so they can view individual images.
    The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

    related, I think it'd be a good idea to have embedded videos each in a spoiler so they don't load as soon as you open the page - it'd get rid of the need to limit embeds per post, too

    I like the idea but I don't think you can do it without javascript which creates a strange interaction with the nojs option. Like "show embedded images" becomes a ternary option where show and don't-show work with nojs, but if you select the "click to show" option at the same time as no-js will break functionality.

    Any suggestions there?

    just make all images and videos hidden in spoiler by default.

    Well whether it's default or not doesn't really change anything. The problem is that I think you need javascript on to make spoilers work. There's a nojs spoiler hack that goes in for spoiler tags when you enable the nojs option but it doesn't prevent resource loading (depending on the browser you're using) so it's not really suitable here.

    or you just rape us with js. make us take it up our assesb wheather we like it or not.
