The Forums were not really a part of the dating portion of the site. But I think most who started out on the site, before posting in forums were there with the idea of dating LMAO.
The buthurt and what not came from no moderators, an infestation of incredibly fucked up individuals and trolls, and because it was a dating site folks were opposite than here .. It was more about being social, connecting, wanting to have that "as close to real adult life kind of interaction" ... here it's all about being annonymus and invisible .. who can be more crude, rude, and outragious.
Don't get me wrong, that is pretty much what DH ended up being the last few years ... BUT people had already exposed themselves enough for the sick fucks to truly mess up peoples lives ....
It wasn't always like that .. it was a vibrant community of real folks just having a good time as themselves (for the most part) -
