U definitely need to eat something when u take them, even if it's a little bit or u get nauseous.

    I have that problem.

I think it's one of those things similar to wine where there's like a known mechanism by which it's supposed to be harmful but observational studies never really bare out an increased mortality rate. Like 5 minutes of googling kinda supports that. You can observe there's an increase in blood pressure or heart rate after taking caffeine (well actually results seems a bit more mixed but let's grant it) but you can't observe an increase in the hazard rate of people who drink coffee vs. those that don't. Sure you can say there might be some other variable that disposes people to both longevity and coffee and you would observe a different trend if you controlled for it, but I don't think it's obvious what that would be like with wine and you have no real reason to suspect that over the "caffeine doesn't actually increase chances of mortality" hypothesis.

So yeah, at first blush it kinda seems like we can't conclusively say that caffeine is "not good for your heart" in a significant way.

I usually just break up a handful into very small pieces by hand and add a cup of water, bring to boil, cool for 20 min covered, and add lemon and chug it all at once lol. It's a very bland, weak flavor, but gets the job done.

News story I saw somewhere (maybe youtube) showed that a tea was considered an intoxicant substance and you can't drive on it. I think it might of been this Mormon Tea. I think it comes from Pacific Islands

It raise your blood pressure and increases your heart rate, while being addictive.

Adderall is SR and small dose so it doesn't keep me awake

I drink energy drinks.. but they burn off after a while and cost like 10 bucks a day. that's 200 a month

money I could use for Insurance.

There's pretty good evidence that blood pressure is raised for an amount of time while the drug is active, not that raises blood pressure while not taking it. Raised heart rate has mixed results. Meanwhile there is no evidence this has a real impact on anything that matters (like longevity, quality of life) and in fact a negative correlation between caffeine intake and mortality rate.

Caffeine is only mildly addictive with pretty light WD symptoms and has low abuse potential.

the same reason people dont really drink beers to get drunk, because its just 5% alcohol and 90% gas and another 5% water.

I don't know, I feel like I can down about as much caffeine in coffee as in energy drinks. Like sure, the concentration is lower than some energy drinks but you can drink cup after cup of coffee all day. I fill up on energy drinks after about two or three. Plus there's the amount of sugar and god only knows what else you're getting from the drinks.

caffeine tollerance develope over time, after 20 or 30 years of heavy drinking, a pot seems like nothing.

Sure, that's true, but it's not any different for energy drinks.

I know someone that has a rare sleeping disorder. sometimes he can't sleep for days. sometimes when he needs a boost after not getting much sleep he drinks mountain dew. It seems to help.
I wouldn't know but my guess is it can't be much worse than all that caffeine.

Caffeine itself isn't the main diuretic, coffee has another chemical that seems to make you piss like mad crazy. I piss less on Energy Drinks.. but I used to drink coffee.. Caffeine pills don't make me want to piss a whole lot. usually go into a starbucks or Peets and get a slow pour, blonde. they have the highest caffeine rate. slow pours are better than making a cup.. the first jolt of caffeine is now known to be in the first cup.. I guess it floats to the top? not sure why.

Mountain Due is just 7up with tons of Caffeine put in it. Also it's a Pepsi product and 7up I believe is owned by Coke. I think it taste better than 7up because it has a higher lemon taste to it.

It's basicly Jolt cola but like a 7up.

Whatever happen to Jolt Cola? I never see it anymore

you were using adderall to help with your energy? It has weird side effects for people without ADHD. not only that they can kick your butt coming down off them.
