The electoral college is how all presidents are chosen. That is the constitution. There is a good reason for that. A state is a sovereign political entity. The United States are a federation of 50 sovereign political entities. If you has pure democracy as in mob rule as opposed to a constitutional republic with democratically selected representatives then 3 states, California, New York, and possibly New Jersey would be able to tell the other 47 states how they are governed. That's not even democracy. That is closer to being fascist than your bulls hit claims.

Why should a voter in Wyoming have their vote counted multiple times? You might think there's a reasonable justification for that, but the electoral college is basically ensuring that every election is rigged.
