No I totally get it. I haven't had a gym mbership for years and when I did it was just to play basketball and racquetball.
Having spent a fair time incarcerated I've seen plenty of makeshift weight lifting tools, not dissimilar to your bags of sand. They literally have ways of doing all these different workouts just using the frame of your bunk bed and a towel, or filling totes full of water jugs or something similar in order to get the lifting weights aspect. Everything else is super easy, like you said, running and push ups and cardio obviously you don't need a gym to do that.
