I'm probably going to get made fun of for this, but these were my most recent physical album purchase:

I love good power metal, but only if the singer is a soprano

Sports was the only decent album they/he came out with. Get your used copy today at Half price books for $3.99....though here lately Half Price books have put their album prices up due to the hipsters buying them all up.

    Here's the latest set

As you can see, I am a master photographer. Albums are:

    Xandria - Ravenheart
    Within Temptation - Hydra
Draconian - Where Lovers Mourn, Sovran, and A Rose For the Apocalypse

That's the last time I buy more than one album by the same artist at the same time. It seems to both lessen the listening experience and make me get sick of the songs I liked from them faster

Yeah, I definitely enjoy music more when I buy it.

They did a study on that a while back IIRC, where people were given two glasses of wine and told the cost of them. Most people said the more expensive one was better, but they were actually the same wine

    It's fucking physics
Lol @ the dumb gen z and other retards who don't think streaming and piracy deminish your enjoyment of music.
Hey, if you're overexposed to certain stimuli your ability to derive pleasure will start to wear down, it's just the law of reality.
They will never know the pleasure of of having your own music collection you carefully and passionately built over the course of several years.
They will never know what it's truly like to be really attached to an album and have physical memories of it.
Basically, they will never really understand music.

Gen Z - "dude why the fuck have you listened to that album more than two times are you mentally ill or something lmao I have just listened to 50 albums over the past five days be a normal person like me"

I have talked to these types
They never grow emotionally attached to anything, music is just a disposable commodity to them.
    I absolutely loathe streaming.
Piracy is good for obtaining rare and out of print stuff but absolutely it has ruined the importance of music.

Yes, half the "beauty" of vinyl is the whole experience, and effort. The cover art, the care of the disk, the process of selecting taking it from it's sleeve, checking for dust, placing the needled, turning it over etc etc. It's to music what the Japanese tea ceremony is to having a nice cuppa.

Music is meant to be enjoyed live. If you have never seen your favorite musician live you basically don't understand music.

I fucking hate large crowds and not being able to control the volume/skip songs I don't like but live experience is where it's at.

Listening to streamed music rather than physical music is like letting a nigga make the tea.
