One week done, I definitely need to transfer by Monday. It's going fine, and I'm not worried about passing but I can tell it's going to drive me crazy if I end up doing the same repetitive task minute after minute for a big chunk of my working life.
I think the satisfaction in industry jobs comes from chumming with your comrades, which is great, but I make a terrible comrade. I can't stand there and chum about surface level topics and other people. I start daydreaming IMMEDIATELY.
If there were people with more compatible personalities it wouldn't matter so much, but there aren't too many deep thinkers in the welding industry. Except perhaps for one of the two girls which;;
One of them I'm unsure about, but the other and I hit off and I want to have emotional sex with her. Not have a serious relationship with, but if I could do what I want to do once and remain friends, that would be outstanding. She looks nice, but with a fairly unremarkable body, which I tend to like for some reason.
She was gone the day before when we did our first torch cuttings, and she didn't know how to get the flame going so I helped her by moving the valves on the torch while she held it. She didn't seem to mind. Then I kinda moved the torch for her; first at the top, then over her hands as she seemed content with me doing that then leaned closer to me after a while. I started helping her move the torch for most of the cuts after that and we started talking when we went back for SMAW. She gave me her number and I like her glasses.
She's a cashier at a gas station too, and for some reason I LOVE 16-19 year old girls who work at gas stations.
