I grew up next to Oakland. I have heard gunshots where police shoot someone in a small projects near my house, and once when I worked in a retail chain, a girl came running into our store yelling "They shot my boyfriend..over and over" the police started chasing him and finally it came to an end on the corner where our store was.
But I have never witnessed anything up close. just heard shit. at least 4 maybe 5 times in my life. we live in a crazy world. the 1980s was the worst on record for street crime. it only seem worse now because of all of the videos and shit.. but FBI stats show a drop in street crime from the 1980s down to the 2k-10's. if everyone had mobile phone cams in the 1980s.. especially east oakland, south central LA, Camden.. etc etc or even worse South Side Chi-town or NYC.. you would be shitting yourself thinking the world was coming to an end. The only thing that got shitty worse for America is we lost our freemdoms and privacy and the hood moved into suburbia .. kids of all race acting hoodrat.
