Guys and dolls

Old documentary about real waifus and the men who own them

This doc really stuck a cord with me back in those days, not because I wanted one but the concept just seemed so ... interesting.
I really like "weird" and avant garde ways of living, like so what if something is inanimate it can still be your best friend.
I love chatting with plushies and the like, they're so cute and I have had so many amazing experiences and conversations with them.

The nigra guy in the video, Davecat, he's pretty cool he listens to Merzbow and still lives with his parents (just like me) and is a Japanophile (just like me).
I emailed him once but I think I was too out there for him because he didn't reply after the second message (I was talking to him about awaiting my pansexual agender waifu so maybe he thought I was trolling?)

Real dolls are expensive as ehll thugh and they're a totally cheap attempt at robo waifus
The only time I will ever get one of these is when they're as limberous as human women and move around in an organic way oh and talk to you
but at that point they would probably be connected to the IoT and thus work as spying machines for google and the NSA

A real woman will want an engagement ring that costs as much or more than a real doll, something to ponder.

I’ve seen documentaries where ppl actually fall in love with objects (like a couch), or something of that nature. It was very bizarre.

I remember an HBO doc from the early 00s where a gay guy was in love with his iMac

If an inanimate object is your best friend you are a hardcore loser. OP you need to choose, you can't have a life size anime throw pillow and a girlfriend, they are mutually exclusive.

In fairness the iMac was a sexy machine

Apple was actually really cool from the 90s to the mid 00s.

Remember when technology and operating systems had "feels" to them?
Like the user interface and design had a particular aesthetic to them that altered the way you felt about the experience.
Now everything has the same bland utilitarian feeling to it.
Back then, being on an iMac felt radically different from being on a PC with windows 98 or XP and even then XP had its own feel, windows 10 just feels boring and passe in comparison.
Consoles had this too, the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube all had radically different "feels" to them yet the PS4, Switch and Xbox One feel so mute in comparison.
Does anyone here know what I'm talking about?
