Simultaneously terrified and okay with it. I'm scared of the potentially panicked suffering that might hypothetically lead up to my death, more than I am the act of crossing the threshold itself. You know?

I like this question, surprised there isn't a shit storm of stupid memes from the op.
Lol. 😊
I think Time as we perceive it... is probably the most intriguing.

I think I'll pass thx. I already know the value of pussy, about £100 an hour.

there is a multiverse theory that says that every thing we all do creates a split and a new universe where each possible option exists is created. so for example if you walked to a cross roads you would cause another 5 universes to be created. one where you went straight ahead, one where you turned left, one where you turned right, another where you turned and went back the way you came and one where you stopped and remained at the cross roads. the theory it is suggested can be tested by putting a gun to your head and pulling the trigger. this will create two universes, one where the gun went off and you died and one where the gun failed to fire and you continue to live. so if you put a gun to your head and fire it, to you the gun will always jam because you will always continue to live in the universe where the gun jammed. if this is true then we will all live forever in the universe where somebody invents a way for us to live forever. even tho there would be many universes where we died in many different ways our consciousness will always continue in many dimensions where we didn't. so our experience of life will always be ever lasting in our experience.
i think that's a pretty cool theory.
so who's got the balls to test it out?

Don't over complicate it with a bunch of abstract bullshit.
You're born.
You live, eat, shit, make decisions and you die.

No as long as it's quick and relatively painless. It's an eventuality so a bit reTARTed to be afraid of it.

I think I would be more afraid NOT to die.

No. I'd always cross the street while texting and drive while texting hoping..but it never does happen. I guess life wants me to suffer, or it's just isn't my time. Or maybe I'm the cause for death. Who knows? 😮

It's a bit silly to be afraid of oblivion. I mean if you are dead you can't "enjoy it or not enjoy it" you just don't exist anymore...You're not going to be in a position to think "damn, I wish I'd fucked that neighbor when I had the opportunity"
Just as you knew nothing before you were born you'll "know" nothing once you are dead...so the only fear should be..if any...the method of your death.

I just spent a few days at my grandmother's place, she's the last of my grandparents still alive.
she knows she's going to die soon - my grandfather had collected a significant library before he died 9 years ago, and she's been giving that away along with anything else people might want. she's made her own funeral arrangements and prepared her will.
once she passes, her house, land and everything else will be sold and divided among her children.
she and my grandfather bought and moved into that property in the year I was born, 1986, and once it's gone, all I'll have left are faded memories of the christmases I spent down there most years. it's a six hour drive into the country to get there, so it's unlikely I'll ever see it again.
