Should I get one, or will I regret it like when I bought a PS4? -

Lol, enter my dude. Love you bro, but you reek of insecurity sometimes. If you just cared like 50% less about what people thought of you, your life would be much better.
With that out of the way, I have one, I'm happy with the purchase. The major complaint at this point is title selection, you have a couple of anchor titles like Breath of the Wild and Odyssey and some smaller titles which can be fun but aren't super big but that's about it. In terms of tech specs, it's a wonder they get out of the hardware what they do. Plays great both on a screen and not, controller feels a little wonky at first but it's really grown on me. Being able to separate the halves of it is kinda fun. Smash at the end of the year is gonna be hype and was really what I got it for, although BotW justifies it on its own now that I've played it.
If you're not into nintendo titles then I'd say don't waste your time, if you are then go for it. -
2018-08-13 at 5:02 AM UTCDo you like Nintendo games? If yes, buy it. If not, don't. It's fucking simple Enter. How stupid are you? Get off of my forum. You make the rest of us look bad.
Anyway Nintendo has some bomb ass games, so if you haven't tried any I highly suggest that you do. Find a friend who has it, go play it at the store, rent one if you just wanna try.
Personally the only game I've enjoyed was Zelda (not even that much tbh) but I wish I could play as someone other than Zelda. It should be more like skyrim imo. -

Ive always found Mario fun, but Zelda has been VERY shit recently. IGN gave Skyward Sword a 10/10, which was an awful game, and then gave a 10/10 to Breath of the Wild, so I dont know what to believe.
I will be so dissapointed if I hate BotW. -

I thought it was amazing, better than (what I've played of) skyward sword by a mile IMO. It's a very different game than OOT and it never reached quite the same highs as I remember in that game but it did have some really amazing moments that reminded me of that sense of wonder I experienced in OOT. There are things to complain about in terms of difficulty ramps and puzzle complexity but the world building and exploration mechanics were so good it more than made up for it. On of very few games in recent history that treats exploration as a core element of the game as opposed to something you put in for completionists or people who need to scavenge some resources that are really just dead end appendages to the central corridor that is the game. -

Hm, sounds good then. I remember that's what they were originally going to have Twilight Princess as, and everyone was disappointed as fuck that it was so linear. Glad they made that game... what... 11 years later.
I heard you don't even have to do everything to reach Ganon though. Like, you can go to him right at the start of the game. So what's the point of doing everything else? Like, there has to be some kind of progression, it can't be chaotic. -

There's like a 1h segment at the start of the game that's fairly linear, then you can do the final quest right away if you want but it would more difficult than people who aren't speed runners are ever going to be able to do. From there to end game you're acquiring equipment and powers and doing tasks that make the final quest easier. But each thing you go and do has its own kind of sub-plot that's satisfying to do on its own though so it's not like one constant grind towards the endgame, I realized I could complete the final quest at some point but I still went did more of the build up quests because I wanted to play them rather them being necessary for the mcguffin. Like I said, a big part of the game is exploration. Beyond building up to the final quest you kinda just want to go and see all the different parts of the game world and when you get there there's always something to do.
So I guess it is a bit chaotic and there's not much continuity from one quest to the next but it never ends up feeling like a bethesda style "go do a thousand side quests with no large scale effects because they're there and you want the rewards" kind of slog

Okay, good. I hope it's an entertaining game. All these fucking autistic nerds on reddit are in love with it, and the majority's usually wrong, so here's hoping. -

It's a much better deal than the PS4 because it's basically a really powerful handheld.
You can play console quality games wherever you go. -

2018-08-21 at 5:11 PM UTCI can`t remember really using mine for months. I bought it for Super Mario Odyssey and it was worth it.

Huh? Games that aren't the number 1 game right now are fun too? People like those? People have different tastes?!?!?!
