I don't fear death itself, I do fear a long lingering death where I become a burden on my family I just want to keel over dead.

If I'm being honest: kinda. Life is beautiful and I've squandered so much of it, to die today would be a tragic waste of my potential. To waste life is the same as dying

Do you believe you’ll be held accountable for wasting your life & talents some day?

If you were to waste them

no, I'm just afraid of how much it'll hurt

I likely would've opted out a long time ago if it weren't for the effect it'd have on people I care about

I fear debilitation or serious handicap far more than that

I'm not fearful of death as much as i am of bad trips.

During our time here be become attached to this marvelous physical reality, we become attached to the world and everything it contains. This attachment is what you will have to overcome.
And death is nothing to fear imo, odds are you've done it before and will again.

It’s actually directed at everyone.....I’m curious

I personally don’t think everything ends with death.....I think what we perceive as “life” is just part of an endless journey

I completely agree with you, the next step is unknown which causes many people to fear it I think.

    Exactly

Like Xlite said....we’re familiar with and attached to what we know as our current lives

I think not knowing what comes next coupled with the nonsense religion teaches us makes people fear crossing over into the next phase of our existence

This and the fact that no one seems to remember what came before birth

If you talk to people who have had a near death experience they all have lost any fear that they had before and actually welcome death as the next step at least those I have spoken to.
