My Pebble Smartwatch battery is draining fast now

   I really wonder if the literal jedis at Fitbit, who bought Pebble, have included something in an update or something.
   
   There is still a community of Pebble users out there, since Pebble watches are far better than anything on the market, and Fitbit aren't happy with that - they want everyone to upgrade to one of their shitty fitness trackers.

   it's possible - apple recently made the news because they were intentionally lowering the clock speed in older model iphones based on battery condition (ie. phones with poor battery condition would run slower for longer), no reason why they wouldn't do the opposite

   If your device is at the 2 year mark or older, you should expect some battery life deterioration. After 500 charging cycles, the typical lithium-ion battery loses ~20% of it's total capacity. That's significant. Coupled with OS update pushes from the manufacturer/carrier, you may see a huge difference in how it was when you got it new.
   
   The solution? Replace the battery.

   Pebble was one of the first "smart" watches, pre-Apple watch, pre-Fitbit, pre-Android Wear. Think of it like a Tomagotchi.

   It has it's uses. Notifications about e-mail/text messages when your phone is away/in your pocket. I use my watch a lot when my hands are busy with work, disassembling some device, and a work-related e-mail or text comes in that I need to check. I can just turn my wrist and read it. That's handy.
   
   Aside from that, steps taken during the day if you're into fitness, music control like next/prev track, vol +/-, etc.
   
   I actually get a lot of use out of mine. ASUS Zen Watch 3. Plus, it looks good.

    You meant WATER RESISTANT. I can't tell you how many times someone brought their iPhone 7 (or greater) or Galaxy S7 (or greater) in to me and said, "I was swimming/tubing down a river/water skiing with my phone in my pocket and now it won't work! it's water proof!"
    
    No. It's water RESISTANT. It RESISTS water....to a point. And, a quality shop can restore that same water resistance when they repair your device. Like my shop. :)
