   Arthur Lee from the Band LOVE was a great early to late 60s was a psychadelic/proto punk and Mod band during the hippy period.
   
   
   They should make a film about this band. the Lead Singer (or one of them) Arthur robbed a bank after things got bad and their band broke up. but they were at the top of the A-list along with The Doors and King Krimson and Moody Blues and so on. anyways when he got out of Prison for Bank Robbery he got cancer and did a few concerts before dying. He made a video of how he messed up robbing a bank but how people like Bush and Cheney and others robbed the world of their lives or freedoms and would never see time behind bars.

   Tis song and hotel california are at the top of the list of songs I remember hearing when I was a kid. and especially listening to my mom's radio she gave to me, rolling the tuning wheel and finding the classic rock station playing david bowies space oddity - introducing me to classic rock.

    Someone on here posted that "Hotel California" was written about Lavay's Church of Satan on California street in San Francisco. on the cover you can see LaVay in the background on the second floor. but this doesn't seem possible since the house was so narrow and small. Unless they had a giant cellar that extended outward under their neighbors houses.
