I fell into a well when I was 13 years old, and nobody was there to save me, not even Lassie. I literally sat at the bottom of that well for 16 days, of course I was able to drink all the well-water I could ever ask for, so I didn't have to worry about hydration, but food was a different story, so I gnawed off my left leg and ate my muscles and tissue and veins and eventually I sustained on the bone marrow until finally, one day, a small young Somalian child came to the top of the well for no reason, because it was in North Dakota and it didn't make sense for him to be there other than a service we had here bringing in Somalian refugees, but he happened to come to the well, and he looked down at me and made a weird face and I saw him looking at me and he saw me looking at him, and we had this moment, but I couldn't speak because he was so stupid looking and I knew he was an immigrant and I hate immigrants because I mean get your own country to deal with you know, but he had come here nonetheless and I didn't even want to talk to him, but I finally spoke up because he wouldn't stop staring, and I told him to get me out of the well if he could, and then he made another weird face, like he contorted his face even further contorted from what it already was, and then he ran off, I imagine anyway that he ran because I couldn't see if he was running or walking or trotting or skipping or whatever he could have been doing, but he left me, and I assumed he was going to get help, but I was wrong, and he never came back, and so I here I sit in the bottom of this well with a strong wifi connection and a cell phone just trapped, helpless, lonely, and forgotten.
