I tried out baby sitting for the first time in over 10 years yesterday. My new neighbor, (she's 36 or so) she has a year old 7 son and a 9 year old daughter. I'm not used to doing this kind of thing, but I was off work and she asked If I could watch her kids while she goes to the gym and then meets a friend for dinner. She said she would pay me forty dollars if I watched them for four hours, and I could have a few of her brews out of her fridge, I agreed. I was making them a frozen pizza and salad for dinner, I burnt my fingers while taking the pizza out because her towel was to thin, I said "fuck me" and the girl asked, "do you cuss all the time?" and I said "of course I do, ass. boobs, shit, whatever." and they started laughing.
So we just ate pizza and watched a lil hellraiser and halley vids. And I made forty dollars, they are nice kids, and it was nice to talk to people that aren't degenerates who are only out for themselves. Their mom asked if I could watch them next week, next time I'm off. I guess I'll do it , it's not like I have to much else to do.

I refuse to babysit kids just because it's a huge liability.
I agree with this. Its not as if the kid is definitely going to hurt themselves or something is absolutely going to happen but on the off chance it does happen you could get really screwed for negligence or even abuse if they want to fuck you over and can. Our society is sue happy and that is enough to make me a Neutral Samaritan.

Yeah, i don't know what your'e talking about. Anyways, yeah it can kind of be a chore, but I feel good doing it.
You should have the integrity to realize that you shouldn't watch anyones kids but your own and turn the opportunity down next time. 40 bucks and a beer or not.

Why though? I wasn't working and my daughter was with her mother.. There is no reason why I can't be a positive influence on other kids.
