   Donuts aren't very good. This might be controversial, but even the really good ones that you get from independent bakeries in bigger US cities like Boston are still only good to a point, and they certainly aren't worth the calories.

   I disagree. Donuts are my favorite pastry. Donuts from the gas station, Krispy Kreme, blueberry cake donuts with glaze, longjohns, day old donuts with the sticker ripped off as a way to say "thank you".
