I grew up in musical theater that should cover all my weirdness lol
Also sang in church a lot ..
My daddy worked a lot so my mom came to my musicals to show support and what not
So he didn’t really hear me sing till I was an adult and it was at a church he came down here from Chicago for a wedding or something..
And I looked out there when I was singing and my daddy was all crying and he legit never cried .. ever.. very militant man didn’t show much emotion
He told me that day that if he knew I was able to sing that well he’d have supported me more and put effort into nurturing my gifts
And I was like,” you did daddy” LOL
My whole life you did lmao
It was a touching moment I’ll never ever forget
I know I shouldn’t have told that soft ass story on here lolol
But guess what.. idgaf 💖

When he was off on the weekends
My daddy and I would listen to music together and he loved his oldies .. I was the DJ haha ..
And he’d just talk to me about life while we listened to music.. I’d fetch his beer and his ice too lol
He’d be like, DJ! Put another record on! (CD)
And I’d put on something and he’d always say , how’d you know that’s what I wanted to hear?!
We both had this deep love for music .. both Pisces my bday being the 5th and his was the 10th and we’d really sit and listen to the lyrics and dissect what we thought they meant and he’d apply it to life situations lol and we did that my whole life ♥️
