Is trying to stop opiates getting into the hands of potential addicts completely pointless.

Do you think regular opiate users are people who are missing pleasure from their lives, and need a more rewarding life situation?

Clean and sober are two different things. I am clean of drugs. I am NOT sober.

Also, while I do heavily partake in the ale, it is still confined to the weekend. That is the only time you've ever seen me - the weekend.

You've never seen me Mon-Fri, the business owner, the husband, the gardener, the guy who goes to the park at 6am to run and look at swans and ducks like a fag. You've never met him.

If your only experience with me is on a weekend, it's easy to paint pictures of what my life must be like, but having not see me throughout a normal week, you have no idea what sort of life I live.

While I drink hard on the weekend, I otherwise handle my shit and don't allow something as stupid as a drink to make decisions for me or my life. I still make the responsible decision every time. That's why I am where I am today and not lying in a ditch or dead.

Miserable people have to paint everyone as losers to feel better about their own pathetic lives.....you owe no one an explanation โœŠ

Are you really using the fact that you aren't fucking dead to justify how responsible you are as a person? ๐Ÿ˜…

Not every opiate addiction story ends with death.

i'm also a real success in life, in fact i'd say i was likely more successful than you are in life tbph.

Of course it's damaging. Time heals all wounds though, regardless of what some pansy MOON PERSON says.

It fucked up my life. I'm still paying for it. I will pay for it for the rest of my life, but it doesn't have to own me. I am so disconnected from that person, I barely recognize him now.

Yes, to a degree. It's like trying to force gun control. If someone wants a gun badly enough, they'll find a way to get one regardless of any laws in their way. Same with opiates or any other substance.

Depends on the severity, I think. Same could be said about all drugs. Some people use them to ENHANCE their lives, much like people drink in social settings.

Some people can abuse opiates and it provides some sort of positive experience for them. Unfortunately, that is not the case with most people.

For MOST PEOPLE, it becomes an out of control thing where it consumes their life and all their decisions. Alcohol can do that, marijuana can do that, meth can do that.

Aren't dead, not living in complete disarray, my life isn't in shambles, I am genuinely happy and never depressed or feeling regret with recent decisions I have made, I have a solid career, my own business, on point to purchase a home next year, happily married, own 2 vehicles fully paid for, life is honestly better than it ever has been.

    That's what I meant.

ive been addicted to spice, benzos, bundy, amphetamines, nicotine, nitrous at different points in my life. after shitty withdrawals were over they mightve fucked me up for at most a year but id never think "im going to be regretting this for the rest of my life" im currently addicted to nothing except just general intoxication. im a heavy drug user but not an addict i believe because i make sure to avoid getting stuck on anything and take breaks.

the way people always talk about opiates makes me think its a whole nother league of horribleness to be addicted to them. i dont think any other drug fundamentally changes a person for life. i especially dont understand it because i always thought opiates were boring highs. would you say opiate addiction is far worse overall than any other addiction?

That's more like it. Not dead or in a ditch is a low bar that I know you've far surpassed. ๐Ÿ˜˜

You went to prison because you sold admittedly potent drugs to someone who overdosed. Someone you knew couldn't handle them.

    Somebody died cause of you.

i didn't specify withdrawals from nitrous you dumb piece of shit. i had intense crack-like cravings for a few weeks and thats it. i dosed vitamin b-12 every time because im smarter than you and you're not the only person who can do basic research even with your holier-than-thou cringe complex. you fucking pathetic ugly spic loser you think reading a few pages of erowid makes you some kind of drug guru even though your understanding of neuroscience and pharmokinetics is feeble at best. i guess since you suck at everything this is your best bet of making another retard look up to you about something
