Why it only acceptable to say buh-bye on the telephone?
-
2018-06-27 at 6:19 PM UTCIf you say buh-bye to someone after a normal conversation you sound like an asshole, but me and everybody I know says it at the end of a phone call. Especially business calls.
Show me the way -

Asking for a friend -
2018-06-27 at 6:23 PM UTCNot possible.
-
2018-06-27 at 6:33 PM UTCIt's perfectly acceptable to say it on skype too. Though I tend to say "seeya" or "ta-raa" on skype
-
2018-06-27 at 8 PM UTCYou're right. It shouldn't be acceptable to say it at all unless you're a 35+ mom getting off the phone with one of her girlfriends.
-
2018-06-27 at 8:02 PM UTC"alrighty Trish.. mmm buh bye."

2018-06-27 at 11:26 PM UTCUh everybody I know says goodbye if we are parting ways in person. This is strange.
Are you just spending time with people and leaving and not saying anything? -
2018-06-27 at 11:30 PM UTCI'd wait around for a response but I fear I must be "up north" and don't know what time it is.

I do thata lot more than I should now that I think about it.
If I say "Bye Rosco, see you later!", that's perfectly acceptable.
But If I say "Have a good day Jess, buh-bye!" Well now I just sound like a dick.
I guess it depends on how you say it though. I'm not a wonderful orator and a lot of stuff I say comes out in a way I don't intend it to.

With bated breath.
Where? Lake Minnetoka? Minnesota is too expensive for what it is, same with Wisconsin. Dakota's are a bargain, except pipeline country, and Iowa and Nebraska are kind of a wash for value/stuff. I don't know much about Kansas. Missouri is probably a good bargain. Not a fan of Illinois. -

Hes literally referring to "BUH BYE". And please don't tell me you say BUH BYE on the phone or in real life WQ.
