   I reject your stipulations. $250 isn’t a life-changing amount of money, so I would like to just save it. I can’t save it, you say? I have to spend it? I would spend it on bills. Then, the money I set aside to pay bills because saved money. In essence, I saved money while spending it at the same time.

   Not here you couldn't. Drinks would be the main part, it's easy to spend $90 in a night for booze and bar food for one person (assuming you're drinking at bars of course), so that's $35 for a meal which isn't that much. I mean sure, you could get food from a food truck or a hole in the wall place that tastes good for less, but "a nice meal" kinda implies not eating on a park bench.

   I imagine the situation is like you're handed that money in cash and have the night to spend it. Not sure how you're going to pay bills with a wad of cash on a random day of the month in a couple of hours

   Depends on the time of day. I could, for example, deposit the cash into my bank account and then apply a partial payment (or even a principal only payment) towards my mortgage.

   id help pay some bills for less fortunate friends and family of mine. Not like $250 bucks would go a long way though
