Super Easy Mini Pot Pies
-
2015-08-25 at 8:54 PM UTCI just used Bisquick mix and my muffin tins for this one.
Lightly coat the muffin tins with cooking spray
Follow directions on the box for the baking mix
In a medium bowl mix 1 can of cream of chicken (can sub cream of mushroom, cream of onion, cream of celery here), 1/2 cup mixed vegetables, and 1/2 cup left over cooked chicken chopped
In the bottom of the muffin tin drop 2 tbsp baking mix and top with 2 tbsp veggie/chicken mix
Bake 12-15 minutes until golden brown on the top
Makes about 4 servings, they are more filling then they look. -

2024-03-13 at 4:25 PM UTCI think i'm gonna become a 5 star michelan tyre chef. It's the ultimate job, think about it. No government regulation or loicense, all trade and EFFORT, skill and result based. You could probably serve cocaine with steak and win awards for it in that industry

a bag of flour and all the vegetables and meat filling would come out to a lot more but you would be able to eat nothing but pot pies and stuff your freezer full before the flour ran out, you would get at least double the amount of pies. I've lived a similar way where I didn't shop at grocery stores and lived off wild food for a year and had to cook everything myself and unless you want to eat stew and bred 24/7 you have to get creative and make pot pies and 5-6 other things or you will go insane.
You really appreciate old cookbooks more if you aren't buying everything frozen. At this point doing any home baking would totally throw off my diet, I only make cookies. I might start forcing my girlfriend to make me jelly salad like a 50's housewife
it's the ultimate food of the future

Ed Shackleton and his crew survived off straight seal fat for like 90 something days or some shit. It's actually a crazy fucking story if you are unfamiliar. He led an antarctic expedition but something went wrong and their ship got frozen in water somewhere and rekt and they ended up having to trek across Antarctica in freezing cold weather fighting off leopard seals and shit and iirc they all made it out alive. There's a book about it called endurance -
