right.. this rock is massive.. about the size of the rosebowl (1000 feet across.. it's a huge stadium)
but it will only punch a 3mile round 3 mile deep hole into the ocean (unless the trajectories change a bit then it hits inland of the USA such as texas perhaps)
remember the tsunami will destroy nearly all of the west north american shoreline. even homes hundreds of feet up the clift of the pacific ocean could be taken out, because that much water would punch a hole in the lower part of the clift.. 2-3 months down the line.. all of those homes will break off and fall into the ocean.
it will create a massive rebuilding, creating millions of construction and engineer jobs. good for California, Oregon, Washington, Canada, Alaska and Baja economy?
I bet people will die. I bet someone will say "I'm not leaving my house.. fuck that tsunami" probably some dude in Malibu who thinks he's invincible.
but with this much of a heads up.. really no one should die from this event if everyone clears the fuck out
