Are you intrinsically or extrinsically motivated to do so?

i'm intrinsically motivated to break the law. there is a part of my soul that wants to break whatever the established rules are.

The average person breaks 3 laws a day without even knowing it.

I don't intentionally break the law but I also don't care about following it.

Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. They came to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial taxb to Caesar or not? Should we pay or shouldn’t we?”

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. “Why are you trying to trap me?” he asked. “Bring me a denarius and let me look at it.” They brought the coin, and he asked them, “Whose image is this? And whose inscription?”

    “Caesar’s,” they replied.

Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.”

And they were amazed at him.

I avoid breaking the law most of the time for fear of the consequences. I'm smart enough to know I'm too stupid to get away with shit reliably.

Is that intrinsic or no? I don't understand.

But the whole point of the law is to establish a set of rules that result in negative consequences when broken. Negative reprecussions are intrinsic to the law. :/

Your first mistake was believing the law exists.
