2018-06-11 at 6:17 PM UTCIt keeps me from losing my mind but the question is not what purpose does it serve.
Maybe you don’t ever feel the need to cry though. -
2018-06-11 at 6:21 PM UTCA damn good cry can cleanse the soul.

It doesn't seem to do anything for me, and I don't think it ever really has. I remember when I was younger when I did cry it often came with (what I now realise was) a panic attack, so maybe that's got something to do with it -

Just out of curiosity have you ever cried over someone dying or a breakup? -

You changed your post, lol
Or does crying make you feel so out of control of your emotions, that you thought it was a panic attack?

I understand that. That is a very broad statement. All I know is there were times I was at my darkest places in life, it would last for weeks; but if I was around someone I cared about and they had a listening ear, a good bawl would help me begin to come out of it.
I understand where you’re coming from. My husband feels the same way you do. The strong silent type. I also know that girls and boys are programmed differently. It’s so much more accepted by society if a woman cries. -

Originally posted by aldra more seriously though, crying doesn't serve a purpose to anyone but a child who can't verbalise a cry for help.
it's an emotional expression and I get that it's cathartic for some people, but outside of that, what good does it do you?
so is laughter.
and smiles.
now i want you to stop doing these.
start stop laughing ad smiling today. -
