the thing with sulphuric acid tho is that it chars organic matter, that charcoal that is left behind can be analysed and seen to be the remains of human body. biological washing powder breaks down the enzymes that build DNA into just base elements and chemicals which then cannot be specifically identified as having been human.

    sulphuric acid is for amateurs

Acids can dissolve a body more completely than lye—liquefying even the bones and teeth—but it takes longer and can be hazardous. British murderer John George Haigh used sulfuric acid to dissolve at least six of his victims in the 1940s. He processed the bodies in a 45-gallon oil drum and reported that the victims dissolved completely in about two days. He also said he had to leave the room, finding the fumes intolerable. (Sulfuric acid can cause third-degree burns. A sprinkling of lye will merely irritate the skin but can be more dangerous if it's mixed with water.) In 1980, a Gambino crime family henchman dissolved the body of a man who had accidentally killed John Gotti's son in a traffic accident, using a 55-gallon drum and an unknown acid.

its what osteologists use to strip the flesh from skeletons. however they have to be careful as that stuff will break down bone too.

Biological washing powder contains enzymes are tiny, tiny organisms which break down fat and soft tissue. You add the powder to hot or warm water (not boiling water, see below) and leave bones in for usually a few days. It helps if the water is kept warm in this time. After you finish, rinse the bones really well other wise the enzymes will keep eating the bone. Then dry them using the method below.

i have done my homework and they are all amateurs. dissolving in acid will leave behind a nasty sludgy liquid that although cannot be used to identify the actual person that was dissolved, can still be analyzed and conclusively say that it was a human body that was dissolved based on the chemical make up of that sludgy liquid. with biological washing powder that would not be possible. that can mean the difference between a conviction and not even being charged. notice the people in your examples were all caught and convicted. if they'd have used biological washing powder solution they would not have been able to prove that a body had been dissolved in there.

I suspect this story is either exaggerated or mismatched; bone is dense as fuck and should take a lot longer than two days to dissolve

it'd probably be counted as circumstancial evidence - if biomatter is fully dissolved, the acid obliterates the DNA/RNA so it'd be impossible to tell conclusively what was originally 'disposed of'. prosecutors could rightly say it's the same residue that appears when a body's been dissolved but wouldn't be able to prove it wasn't an animal or something

of course the other thing you gotta watch for is things like false/gold teeth and fillings, and any metal screws or plates that the vic might have in his body from surgery. as they can all be used to positively identify victims.

things like pacemaker parts have also identified victims in remains, and i even remember a story of a body that was burned and they found an old bullet in the ashes from a war wound that was shown to be of the type commonly used by the enemy that the victim fought against. which then pretty much proved who the victim was. enough for the court to convict on anyway.

actually very little of the majority of the bones in the human body is “dense as fuck” most is spongy and bone tissue itself is quite porous

Liquids like a very strong stock acid that dissociates 100% would have little trouble penetrating bone tissue.......

Teeth on the other hand are enamel and that shit is strong......however without the jaw to hold them in place dental records would be useless.

Kill poor young people and gold teeth/pacemakers are not an issue 😬👊

why you think there have been many acid murderers caught but you can't remember a single one caught using biological detergent to dispose of the remains?

    what does that tell you?

enamel's a thin layer and is vulnerable to weak acids anyway; besides it doesn't protect the root of the tooth so corrosive agents will get around it through your gums

    http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/discoblog/2011/02/25/the-mafia-was-wrong-you-cant-quickly-dissolve-a-body-in-acid/

interesting. most acids alone will take a long time to destroy bone matter, but if you add water it apparently aids penetration into tissue dramatically reducing the time to total breakdown

If you want to destroy a body acid is the worst choice.. too dramatic and expensive and doesn't even do that good of a job.

Alkaline is much cheaper in bulk and it's how the Nazis turned the jedis into farm grade fertilizer and how Jeffery Dahmer got rid of bodies.
