oh hello there madman I just posted about Modafinil in another thread.
When it works, it works well, but I never seemed to find out the variables. I tried everything.
I care little enough about it now I've had the same blister pack sitting in a drawer for like 6 months and gave/sold alotta my supply to get a consensus on it.
When it works I can best describe it like people who describe coffee as a miracle drug like omg I can't focus or drive or do anything without my caffeine omg, except it actually works.
One of the best experiences was I was up and got 0 sleep for some reason and had a rough shift at work ahead, dealing with several customers, tiny screws, multiple repairs. I popped one 200mg pill whilst my head was propped up by my hand on my workbench. I popped one and within 30 minutes I didn't feel high, or jittery, or any notice of chemical help, but I'd just felt like I'd gotten 8 hrs sleep. GOOD sleep. I functioned great for maybe 6 hours and then it tapered into the natural sluggish and scatterbrained state of sleep deprivation.
Times I stacked it with Adderall or Ritalin I felt it boosted the effects, but I don't think there is any literature that shows they work together. Could have been placebo. When I was throwing around ideas to a medical professional I asked the ole' "So what if a person was to take Modafinil and Adderall at the same time?" And he said he imagined an uncomfortable, high blood pressure driven highi that wouldn't be too pleasant.
I mean the few times I did combine and would take maybe a 20mg IR Addy and a 200mg Modafinil I felt hella on point and focused and...maybe a slight ringing in my left ear LOL
But yeah not worth it.
If you can get em at a reasonable price they are worth a try and see how it works on you. I had a few friends who asked for more but they had about the same experiences as me, subtle and works well when it works. But there are times it just seems to do jack shit. Dunno what variables effect it but I've tried on empty stomach/full stomach sober/fucked up all types of ways and theres no pattern to it.
I'd give it a 5/10. Maybe a 8.2/10 when it works.

Modafinil has helped me a lot. I take between a quarter and a half of a pill (25 mg) in the morning on weekdays. I used to have problems with getting so tired during the workday, that I would be struggling to keep my eyes open and my productivity would be terrible. Moda is like non-stimulating adderal.. sort of.
I think the only problem with that is, that after continuous usage, and after you build up a tolerance to need to take closer to one whole pill per day, it starts to turn you into a cold shell of a person. I have seen myself and a friend become very bitter to our spouses when we use it a lot.
Edit, it also makes cigarettes more nauseating
