The Devil is just an alien creature who joined the dark side by rebelling against God. But he has millions, maybe even billions, of years of experience and knowledge in the fields of science, literature, philosophy, astronomy, military, mathematics and hundreds of other topics of study. He is a master of all these fields. He is also highly dangerous, cunning, resourceful, patient and calculating.

Representing himself, the Devil made two claims, while facing charges in the Supreme Court of God. To wit, he committed no felony, because the fault was man's alone; man freely chose to disobey God, therefore Satan supposed himself merely an instrument of Adam's demise. He counter-charged the accusation against man, that man serves God merely out of the good things God provides him - apart from those material things, he would curse God to his very face. The counter-suit alleges man is not worthy of God's attention, in any matter, rendering his, Satan's, felonious acts immaterial.
The second defense presented was the premise that God has no right to rule, in any event, and therefore does not have the jurisdiction to try him in the first place. Free will takes precedence over God's careful and thoughtful direction, alleged Satan the Devil. Now, the Judge of the Supreme Court of God, God himself, has afforded the Devil the full opportunity to establish his claims as truth, and Satan was appointed control of this planet and everything in it, for a time. Everything but your soul itself; that is all you can legally control.
