Last I ordered this fake gameboy that can play GBA rom files from https://retromini.com/collections/all

Although I'm thinking maybe I should order their "retro game" as well.

Will post a review when it arrives.

Ok just received both consoles today. Going to get a haircut and do some shit before I can really look at them. Will write up the reviews and post some pictures soon.

Ok ran out of time but I will write a proper review later tonight at some point. Meanwhile here is a picture comparing them to my old GBC.

For now I will say I like them both but the bigger one can play more systems. I'm planning on putting Earthbound on it later. Small one comes with 500+ game boy games, big one comes with 800+ games from a variety of systems including arcade games.

yeah, the layout of the 'retro game' looks much better... I'm guessing the Mini's mostly just for nostalgia's sake

Ok so the retromini: this thing is pretty cool. A little too small. Came with 40 games built in, with 500 more on an 8gb SD card. Runs most of the games great, some games seem to run slightly slower than normal. Speaker gets shitty if turned up too much. This thing has save states as well as supports regular saving.

The retro game is a little different. Easier to hold. Larger screen. Came preloaded with over 800 games across 9 or 10 different systems. Most of these seem to run excellently. However the GBA, GBC and GB games appear terrible compared to the same games on the retro mini. This device came with a protective film over the screen that I pulled off with an attached tab. It came with TV cables to play on a larger screen and an SD slot. I believe you can add more games to this one directly from your computer via micro usb. Also read that the OS can be upgraded and that it can improve performance for gameboy games.

Both devices have a good quality feel to them. Seem to be built well. Both appear to use old Nokia phone batteries.
