Hi neighbors. I crossed paths with a guy sitting on the curb at state and orange today. He bragged to me that he had made $8000 in KP by reporting incidents with dogs here. He said he didn’t even need to have any marks on his body to file a liability lawsuit against an owner. Just had to have had some kind of event. Told me he usually reports medium sized dogs with female owners. So he reports and people pay up. He also told me how he was playing tug of war with a dog and his finger got caught in the dog’s mouth. He said the owner paid him off with Carl’s Junior and $20 so he wouldn’t report it. This guy was quite proud of himself and was sitting 3 blocks from the dog park. His attorney told him to call with any encounters and that he had made $80,000 in KP himself. So, why he told me all this, I have no idea but it didn’t sit well with me to not post here about him. He’s middle aged, 5’10ish with graying dark hair. I’m thinking he was Hispanic and was carrying a backpack. Sounds like he’s looking to create situations.
