    A couple of Russian speaking American Jehovahs witnesses tried to convert me just now. They found me via white pages apparently. They came sharing a story from the bible on an Ipad or something. I had to whip out my own Orthodox bible to make sure that they weren't lying jedis.

    Then they gave me flyers to some Jehovas witness sessions. What. The. Fuck. Whos trying to convert Slavs to Jehovah witnesses?

    My neighbours across the river (it's a small stream) are jehovah's witnesses. They seem OK. My dog hates them.

    I am mind fucked. AMERICANS, SPEAKING IN GOOD RUSSIAN, trying to COVERT ME TO JEHOVAS WITNESS. TRACKING DOWN RUSSIANS TO TRY AND CONVERT THEM.

    Yes, I asked them where they were born. This is a standard question to ask people when speaking Russian. I became increasingly curious as to how the fuck, exactly, they found me.

    They seemed intimidated when I whipped out a really old Russian Orthodox bible that was passed down through the generations.

    What truth? How much money are they making that they pay people to track down slavs and try to convert them?

    I bet they're like that one old church I used to go to. They would preach to you that wealth is bad, that TV should be banned, etc. Then on the weekend at the beach you see the priest in jedilery, adidas track suit, smoking a cig, eating/spitting sunflower seeds, and talking on the latest smartphone while climbing into a luxury German car. Probably lives in a mansion with big screen TVs in every room.

    Everything in America is subverted. The Orthodox churches in Jerusalem that I've been to were never this fucked.

    No. This is a totally different thing. Definitely worth it for you to follow up. They don't make anything; it's all voluntary. They may ask you if you'd like to make a donation to cover some of the printing costs, but that's it. You will discover actual truths if you talk to these people, stuff you always wanted to know.
