I have thought about all the problems I have and I think I will not be able to get clean unless I am locked up for atleast a couple weeks. I actually went to the police station last week and asked if they would put me in jail and they were real dicks about because I wouldn't leave and made them escort me out. Looking back this seems like a cry for help and you think they would take me to the hospital or something but they were just assholes as usual. I need to get clean to move forward with my life and I think I actually need some help to do it because everytime I try I end up doing speed and I fucking hate speed. I bought some heroin today and I'm in that real calm period after the rush which is my favorite. I have enough gear to tie up some loose ends and hopefully find a rehab that will send me a bill I can ignore or something. I've never been to rehab does anyone know how to do it? Last night I was thinking about doing it trainspotting style and nailing boards over the door to my room but I would have to piss and shit in buckets and I think my roomates might just kick me out if I start throwing shit out the window. THey already have to put up with alot of shit because of me.
I've just finally come to the conclusion that I can't cash this check by myself like I have in the past, I might even try to go into a sober living house afterwards depending on the cost because I want to get back to the good times where drugs don't control my life.

I"ve worked real hard to not have any misdemeanors on my record and they will take my guns away if I get in trouble. My guns make me feel safe and I won't give that up.

Doubt it considering you actually have to live there for a while - someone has to pay for the rooms, cleaning etc.

I was on suboxone for a while this winter and that was free because I'm a burden on society as an addict.

Yeah there are free clinics and programs but I interpreted your OP as looking for an inpatient thing - if you need to do it you'll probably have to pay for it yourself; even if you were to take out health insurance they usually won't let you claim major stuff for 6-12 months.

I know that we have made you an edgy atheist with our unsubstantiatable speculations about the nature of God, but have you considered going to the Church or seeking the assistance of a local Minister or Pastor or whatever you need.
Christians are in general good people, and the thing about the Church is that is supposed to be there for you when you are in need.

If you're in the state of California and lack funds, I believe MediCal might help. even if you're under 63 or whatever age Medicare is. or if you have a disability.

We have programs here with sliding fee scales based off your income but the waiting list is long as fuck if you go that route.
But yes court ordered is the best way to get free treatment. Just go get a simple possession or dui. I've not heard of a rule that says you can't have firearms with misdemeanors and even if that's true it would likely be only until you complete your treatment and sentence.
