i know weed has(or should be) to be cured to make it smoke better, i even have a rough idea how to do it. does tobacco need to be cured too?
reason i'm asking is i just bought a bunch of cheap tobacco which is counterfeit shit but to look at looks like perfectly good tobacco. but when you smoke it its completely tasteless. like you take a drag and you think at first its gone out or summing. plus it does tend to go out easy as well. i'm wondering if the guys getting this stuff just aren't bothering to dry it and even cure it properly. i'm paying 1/5 of the shop price for this stuff so if i can transform it into something worth smoking then it could really save a few dollars. otherwise i think i'd just rather pay the over-inflated shop prices and get a decent smoke. i'm sure some of you must know about this stuff.

I tried curing salmon once, came out pretty good but I think I went too heavy on the dill because the flavor was strong and you needed to eat just a little bit at a time with something more neutral flavored like a cracker to even out the taste a bit.

Tobacco, like marijuana, needs to have a cure time. Tobacco holds a similar curing process to marijuana. If you've bought it over the internet, there might be little you can do.

Tobacco is big 'round these parts. Grown in North Carolina mostly for the south. I have grown it a time or two. You should take the entirety of the plant in a jar. So whatever you bought and was shipped, chop it up and place in a jar along with an orange peel. It will flavor your tobacco ever so slightly, but it provides some moisture in the moisture-ridden environment of the jar. Leave it that way for a solid week.
Please, please, wash your jar out. Mold spores is the #1 killer.
