   Get a job in a recycling centre or the like.
   
   I know some Polish guys who recycle TVs, most of the time it's just a very simple capacitor replacement.
   
   My exercise bike came from a recycling centre. My Aunt's BF found it there, took it home, she didn't use it, so I got it. He also found a nice chandelier, which made well over €100. All sorts of stuff gets chucked.
   
   I've eaten dumpster-dived food on one occasion with a bunch of hippy sorts, it was just fine.

   If you know where and old person has died, snoop their bins while family clean up the house or have an estate sale. They usually try to purge as fast as possible, and often hire 3rd party companies to do it for them
