3) JUMP AND RUN out the bed to turn off a 120 db alarm clock that goes off when coffee is done
4) By the time I turn off the 120db, the rug alarm clock is now beeping, and is right between the coffee maker and mini fridge
5) I stand on the rug for 10 sec to make it stfu while I pour coffee, milk
6) By the time the coffee n milk are poured the rug stops but is now playing whatever music I set it to ahead of time
7) drink coffee, then do stretches
8) go shit shave brush teeth and shower
9) get in the car, let it reach operating temperature
10) drive wherever I need to drive that day
In exactly that order. Every fucking day.
It’s actually harder on your car to idle and reach “operating temperature” than it is to just get in and go. There, I just saved you like 2 minutes a day. -

yeah i figured idling up to temp was best for the motor, especially places with significant traffic where it can be pretty rude to be slow-poking around to keep RPMs low.
when ever i get setup in a long-term home i envision putting oil pan heater, transmission pan heater, and coolant heater on my car with a convenient timer outlet at my parking, just unplug, get in and GO - most everythings already near operating temp -

If you’re ok with plugging in every night and then unplugging and going, you could get an EV. -
2018-05-01 at 3:10 PM UTCWake up, find somewhere to shit and brush my teeth then suddenly it's the afternoon
I woke up today to some assholes in the parking lot standing near my car talking while listening to shitty coon tunes on their car -

all engines manufactured after '89 are designed to work from the get go without requiring pre-run warming ups.
all those warming my engine myth are propagated by big oils. and then, they tell you that they have a range of motor oil that was specifically engineered to work in in cold engines from the get go.
this company called itself fluid engineers, and a many others followed suit. -
