Aka Effexor. It feels much better than Prozac, or even being off anti-depressants all together. I have a noticeable change in energy levels and a much reduced appetite.

Whats weird is that I had some old (6 years or so) venlafaxine (IR), but when I took it I felt tired. I went and got some new pills and don't have those symptoms. I had always assumed meds don't go off, but apparently venlafaxine does? I dunno.

I get depressed sometimes, but it's not like the "I'm bored, I'm depressed" sort of depression. It's more like can't taste food, can't see colour, can't smell, can't feel, can't think clearly sort of depression.

Anti-depressants are sorta nootropic though, so there is that. They allow you to be more productive as well.

Yeah, if nootropics were proven to cause irreversible brain damage

I expect to be around forever, but I'll accept my minor brain damage, just because fuck you.

How about all those drugs, like marijuana, that cause neurogenesis?

So we have to believe that antidepressants make you retarded while pot makes you clever?

Weed makes you retarded but it doesn't seem to cause irreversible brain damage
