   Probably shit, i don't really care for thanks. There are other platforms that i use that give users the ability to "thank" or "like" or whatever. Usually these places are for technical discussions, so when i get a like or thanks on those platforms it means that the person giving it out thought what i posted was interesting, cool, or whatever from a technical standpoint. That sort of affirmation feels better than just getting thanks or a funny post. And i assure you on those platforms i try to make sure my ratio is as respectable as possible.
   
   That said, if i make a technical post about a certain field of study on this forum and i get thanked for it, i do value those thanks more as well than just thanks i got for a funny remark or whatever.

   Interestingly enough, you have a strong and favorable thanked/thanks ratio with your lassaiz faire thanks policy. I agree with you about the meaning behind the value of thanks, which is consistent with the philosophy of any rounded capitalist: investing your energies into a more technical contribution or providing a forum service which receives thanks are far better than getting them for shitposting.

    I am always awed by the stability of my thanks ratio, it never strays far from one thanks every 7 posts, almost always remaining within a .3 differential. Taken as a reflection of my fiscal decisionmaking, I could probably sustain a small African village for years.
