does GTA online constantly update or something?

You only enjoy it because the sandbox concept I'd probably new to you, that is the only way anyone could possibly enjoy this sack of shit.
I grew up with this series, to have experienced GTA 3 on the ps2 for the first time in 2001 and then wind up with V 20 years later is a huge fucking disappointment. -

The story for V was perfect, and I enjoyed it. The characters were believable, the missions were entertaining and varied, it wasn't too hard, I didn't have to repeat missions where I had failed (like that fucking train in San Andreas), and I was able to complete it in a week or so. -

shenmue 1 - 2 on PS4 and 3 coming out are literally the only games worth getting excited over
