Nah, that's not ASMR. You got your logic upside down, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autono...idian_response The tingling sensation precipitates relaxation not the other way around. Also not everyone can feel ASMR, so it may be the case you are immune. In which case i could see how it seems all very silly to you. It also only works with binaural recordings or "3d audio" for me.
Here are some clues that it's not some random placebo effect as well, in my case at least.- ASM Response reduces after a set amount of time, like short term tolerance.
- Only specific sounds trigger ASM Response.
- When i am on CNS depressants i don't get ASM Response at all.
What's more, personal attention in the way you described it in your post has never made me feel tingly. If i had to compare it with something i would say it's more along the lines of when someone breathes into your ear from really close up and you shiver. Maybe you never had that before either. Just don't say, hurr durr it's for attention starved faggots, just because it doesn't work on you. -
