Its because the rest of the world is made up of baby boomers and people on a certain wavelength that are not fine tuned to the mental and physical state of extreme survival.
Drugs exist to give a creature an edge over the sober individual. That's why performance enhancing drugs are banned in sports, I don't mean stuff like ALCOHOL which doesn't make you faster or smarter. The strongest and smartest who know how to use plants and nature to their advantage have all the drugs, wealth and power.
These people control the entire world. Pharmaceutical companies, legal recreational drug conglomerates, illegal cartels and mafias. The governments exist to hold back the rabid beast of capitalism and free society. We do this because we value order and peace. The true nature of humans is everything illegal in the world. When media depicts future society the strongest ones have advanced technology like guns and cars.
When 7 billion humans are gone there is no slowing down because of air pollution or mass shootings. The strongest use superior knowledge of the planet to dominate every other living being.
Plants, insects and germs do the same thing. We are all competing to be the #1 life form of earth and we also all rely on each other to exist. All we need is gravity, air and food to be human but our minds have figured out that we can temporarily live in space in our current forms with advanced technology
