Does anyone else get an intensely euphoric feeling when they're about to go to sleep?

At night time after I've finished everything for the day and am basically tired as fuck and within 20 minutes of going to sleep, I can get this crazy euphoric feeling that manifests itself physically. It's different from any sort of drug induced euphoria I've ever had, although I guess the most comparable would be that warm blanket feeling you get from opiates. There's not change in consciousness or anything, just a moderately strong euphoria that is honestly better than any hard drug I did now. When I was like 16 and did huge lines of coke, that was probably better, but these days drugs don't give me that much euphoria so this is way better. I feel it and it comes out as like a shiver. I'll actually physically shake and be unable to control it. It feels awesome though. I'm not sure what causes it but it makes me want to go to sleep. Anyways I didn't get that for a while but now that I've been more sober it's coming back and the past few nights it's been intense. Anyone else have that happen?

I get that but for me pursonaly I get upset when I shake up because i wake up as I already have a hard enough time trying to go to sleep.

Try saying to yourself as you lay down "sleeep sleep sleeep sleeep sleeep sleeep" and you might just go into a meditative state.

try a guided astral projection meditation.. I know it sounds cheezy but it may work for you, it has for me some of the times.

But if i know what you're talking about its a space between our world where we are now on nigsinspace and a world into a void. lol

    When crazy people respond^

I know exactly what you mean tho. It doesn't happen every night, but when it does? Ooooh man. It's so cozy and insulated. I'll even wiggle my toes, put the blanket to my chin. I fucking love that feeling of being safe and warm and content. If I felt like that all the time I'd never leave the bed

Not really but I feel a profound sense of peace and comfort when I lay down and know I'm going to be asleep within 10 minutes and I have some silly(comforting) cartoon on like The Cleveland Show/American Dad etc.

I think about death most times before I fall asleep. That’s about it.

Although this morning I did hear a really loud sound like a woman in pain somewhere in my house. Like the next room over. When I got up to check there was no one there.

    Wait was that a hallucination

I am very emotionally sensitive while falling asleep.

Like if I'm falling asleep to a documentary about serial killing, it will actually disturb me

i actually threw up one time upon hearing something graphic while drifting off to sleep

i'm not exaggerating, like i had to run and throw up into the toilet. i used it as an excuse to take the day off work.

i wonder if that's the "real" me, like my hardened shell from the day is gone, so i'm more sensitive to stuff

You will be dead within 8 years so your enthusiasm in "guided astral projection meditation" pleases me greatly

Can you imagine how great it would be to painlessly die in your sleep without being aware of it?

There have been countless times when I've woken up pissed off because it didn't happen.
