Games where you got to a level you couldn't beat, said "fuck this" and never played again

Millions will buy the game and become extremely frustrated and lethargic and ultimately depressed when they cannot beat your first boss. They will stop eating, stop sleeping, stop going to work/school and sit there, pulling their hair out because they can bring the boss down to one heart left and then he performs this DEVASTATING move that annihilates you every time. One hitter quitter. Hahahahah!

That being said, one of those Contra games was like that. Too fucking hard. Gave up with that shit.

They'd probably just look at the code and figure it out

Been on the final boss in Dark Souls 3 for a month now. Give it a few attempts per day then get pissed and rage quit.

I really don't enjoy difficult games. Having to repeat a level a couple of times is usually enough to make me stop enjoying a game. There are exceptions, Hitman games, or the original Rogue Spear, but I regard dying repeatedly in one level as being cucked by the game designer, so fuck that.

Lol assassins creed races are easy.

    Focus on the bracelets.

Has anybody here tried Cuphead? It's hard as fuck, but unlike most games it actually feels fair when you die. You know it was you that fucked up. I haven't ragequit it yet but I've also only beat two bosses and the first run and gun level.

High Lord Wolnir is way before the last boss, I beat that dude first try. I'm on Soul of Cinder, though I haven't beat Nameless King yet either. People said Champion Gundyr was really hard but I beat him first try also.

Try and hit him the most when he's on his knees.

Yeah the problem is getting in the 4-5 hits hits required in a short window to get him kneeling considering most of his attacks are so quick that you only have time for a swing or two after rolling. If it wasn't for the magic bullshit Crystal Soulmass that hits you while you're trying to dodge his regular attacks on top of it I would probably be fine but once he starts casting that repeatedly while in the dex/scimitar stance I end up getting wrecked anytime I try to deal damage.

I have a Raw Astora Sword +10 and a Heavy Battle Axe +9 and can't figure out what I'm better off with against him. Only other boss in the game I had any real struggle against was the Dancer of the Boreal Valley.

What're you stats? I know the raw astora is supposed to have way more attk than it should considering but if you've got the usual 40 strength that axe is probably way ahead.
But that said you don't need to damage him for him to go to the next weapon, as far as I know at least and if I'm wrong it's only a few attempts lost, so when he's using dex just focus on rolling instead of any damage, It's like the 4 kings except it'll get better after the timer instead of worse.

there was a game that did that as a copyright measure

serious sam I think? if the game detected it was a pirate copy it'd introduce an unbeatable boss after the first few areas

The last boss of The Evil Within. I couldn't beat that fucker even with infinite health cheat. In the second phase He does this one hit kill attack that you need to avoid by running from him, then you need to shoot him in the eyeball. He always gets me. So i said fuck it.

Even in some of the "unbeatable" levels there are Easter egg secrets embedded which make the game behave differently and allow you to beat it. Author backdoors. For example, a series of special key combinations pressed quickly in succession "forces" the giant to freeze for 10 seconds, whereupon he can be beaten. Not all games, but some.
