   My imagination always seems to be very different from actual 'visual' images - the only time I feel like I 'see' things when I close my eyes rather than just imagining them is on pregabalin; it makes daydreams and the like super-vivid

   Flashers are like when a cone goes out or something if I recall correctly. Phantom images... That's just part of the description my friend.
