"The Stanley Parable" and "The Beginner's Guide"

2016-08-21 at 6:22 PM UTCIf you have not played either of these games I strongly suggest that you do.
In this post I will tell you nothing about these games other then the fact that they are not games so much as they are wonderful narratives. You should know very little about the game when you buy it, I think most of you will enjoy "The Stanley Parable" but I think "The Beginner's Guide" is geared more to artists and the depressed or anxious. Both of these take games in a direction you seldom see, the self aware.
These games know they are games, the narrator addresses himself to you. Both games make you think at times, laugh at others. Right now you can get "The Beginner's Guide" on humblebundle for only a dollar. Note that this is the purchasing of a steam key, though if you're already considering buying a PC game you probably already have a Steam account.

This deal will only be available for ~8 more days so hurry up. Yes I'm a shill, they pay me one million and a half shmeckles to post this shit. But these games are both fucking phenomenal and I just wanted to spread the word honestly. I can't remember the last game that has spoken so much to me before "The Stanley Parable" and I can't remember the last game that has moved me so emotionally as "The Beginner's Guide."
If you have a dollar to spend, a computer that can at the least run shitty games - if you've ever felt depressed or anxious, if you're an artist of any sort: Buy this humble bundle and play "The Beginner's Guide." It lasts about an hour and a half, there's little to no replay value, but it's a dollar well spent. As for the Stanley Parable, it sells for $15 on Steam right now.

This shit is bomb, yo. And again, do yourself a favor and go into these games knowing absolutely nothing. These are the only two games I would suggest that.

2016-08-24 at 8:26 AM UTCThank you RisiR! Have you played these games?
Number 13, if you have no money you can download "Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and The Terribly Cursed Emerald: A Whirlwind Heist" which is made by the same guy. No, I am not shitting ayou about the name. It's completely free though and only about 15 minutes long. Hilariously confusing but not quite as deep as the other two games I've mentioned in here. And like I said, the humble bundle has "The Beginner's Guide" for only $1. If you can't afford that you can go fuck yourself and film it and then I will buy it for you, but you have to hurry before the humble bundle runs out, otherwise my offer is not valid.

2016-09-04 at 7:05 AM UTCOkay this thread convinced me to play the beginner's guide.
It's pretty boring/shit/pretentious so far. Why the fuck do I care about some fucking autist "lol im so deep" faggot who made these shitty games?
I'll keep playing to the end and post my thoughts then. -
