people don't know how to use the internet

2018-03-05 at 4:01 PM UTCIt's ridiculous that so many people either don't know about or are otherwise unable to use google to find information. I bought some edible gummies off my friend who got them from some guy he knows that made them. I was a little curious about how they were made just because I've never made edibles with anything other than coconut oil or butter. He said the guy wouldn't tell him his process, like it's some sort of deeply guarded secret. So I went on google and found out how it's done in 10 seconds. Apparently he didn't know that I could do that, I'm guessing because nobody around him has enough ambition to get on a computer and look it up.
Also I have some friends who are opiate addicts that often use Crouton when they can't get opiates. They use opiates all the time and have both been addicts for years so it's not like they use occasionally. They buy headshop Crouton for like $50 regularly which is like half the potency and 10 times the price of the shit you can get online. I tell them to buy online, it's only 2 day shipping and it's not like they're gonna quit today and never use again, they've been at it for like 10 years. But they're unable to. I'm not sure if it's because they don't trust the internet or what but it's fucking retarded. One of them is also homeless on and off and this nigga will go spend $50 on Crouton to get high for 2 days. Like how bad at planning could you possibly be?
Also I was browsing nextdoor and some girl was selling some sort of kitchen appliance for $15 and listed it as "rare." A 2 second google search and I found a brand new one for $17. She thinks it's rare probably because she barely sees it in stores. Idiots. -
2018-03-05 at 4:24 PM UTCyou wont believe how many times and how many people from the 1st world that came to my 3rd world country that i had to teach how to use google maps and other offline maps.
the concept of using their phone, smart phones as some sort of navigational guide seems foreign to these 1st world foreigners from whence advanced cellphone technologies came from.
for fucking reign. -

Actually neither of them are particularly dumb. I'd say one is about average intelligence and the other is above average, but deludes himself a lot.
But yea, I think it can rot your brain from oxygen deprivation. Maybe not every time but when you nod heavily many times over the years, and especially if you fall out/OD. -
2018-03-05 at 5:18 PM UTCYeah it’s weird to live in a time where technology is integrating with who we are to such a degree, and so rapidly. Instead of having to rely on experience and memory, google is becoming like a sort of collective memory that can be referenced almost just as quick. It makes me wonder what humanity will look like in a hundred years or a thousand

It always makes me lol when I whip out words like 'bioavailability' and these people snorting benzos just look at me blank faced. I think friends who google things or use computers are way more fun to be around. They know things. They have multiple interests. It's not just you pretending like you have super intelligence because you use one of the most powerful learning tools in human history on a daily basis. -

I think at some point we will have integrated the skeleton code for several future variants of the modern search engine into our limbic system that will use several inputs for search terms, including visual/auditory input and eventually communications drawn from thoughts passing through our respective speech-processing structures. -

Yea, or being at a festival and watching a bunch of dumbasses taking Molly, coke, acid and ketamine and talking about how dangerous all rc’s are and how they stay away from that shit. (Like 1p and ald-52, obviously some rc’s are dangerous) -
