   A news stand (or basically a mini-convenience store). I know a great place to set one up that gets lots of foot traffic, college town with large university and lots of buzzed college kids to walk by and make impulse purchases, and under a parking ramp to block rain and shit.

   Looks like its under a parking garage or something, is it privately owned or all city property?.
   
   Seems like a dull area to me, the main concern would be would you really want some dude hawking merchandise in an area thats only used for parking?. You might have some trouble getting someone to agree that opening a stall/stand would be a good idea for that spot.
   
   Those big ugly yellow ribbed cylinders are just screaming to have some clever graff sprayed onto them. How much money was spent on the design to bold the colors according to height?.
   I'd do something like this
   
   THIS IS HOW
   TRICKLE DOWN
   ECONOMICS
   WORKS
   
   
   and a scene of poverty sheltering from the elements with people reaching upwards for nothing at the bottom.
