I'll "admit" you're right if you can substantiate your claims. This won't be much of an admission since I actually care about the result and, despite you seeming totally unable to grasp this, have not said at any point that women do or don't prefer dominant men. My position from the start is that you have no good evidence to support the claim, I'm committed to the conclusion the evidence points us to regardless.

You'll notice at no point did I say either submissiveness or shyness were considered desirable traits.

Semantics aside you have to admit that my penis falls under "things that have raped your ass" QED you're a bottom bitch.

Semantics is 100% of the point in the third experiment you dolt. Look at the first experiment for a behavioral approach that doesn't involve the semantic issue. It shows dominant traits are undesirable if it shows anything at all

None of this is making fucking sense right now. Women liking dominance has always been as obvious to me as the sun being hot.

    Nothing that was this concrete.

Like when I found out the Christian God didn't exist, I was like, "Well... yeah, that makes sense." as an example.

Would you literally aim a gun at me if I said something like that when we hang out IRL?

Lol i follow a lot of people in tech and infosec and such on twitter. And you wouldn't believe how often my timeline is polluted by everyone's hot(left wing) take on the (geo)political issue of the day. Even if i purposefully and actively avoid these types. Fat whores like Sarah Jamie Lewis end up in my timeline anyway, because the people i follow "like" and "retweet" her bullshit. So then i mute them, and say "Boy wouldn't it be great if we could have politics free tech and infosec twitter for today?" and i get banned for hate speech.

lol, yeah, when used to follow some tech people on twitter I got a lot of that too. It's a horrifying network effect. Like I followed Jacob Moss who would always retweet Shanley Kane and then I unfollowed him but then Holovaty would retweet his shit so I unfollowed him but then someone else would retween the same shit thrice removed.

Then I went through a phase of following the most absurd "twitter feminists" I could because it was like a circus, endlessly entertaining. But gradually I realized these people were serious and as evidenced by god knows how many episodes carefully documented in feministwiki that insanity was getting a foothold in the real world. Obsessing over it is a pathology though, critique just feeds the idea that feminism (like, the not batshit insane kind) is some kind of underdog ideology that's being pressured by the incumbent paradigm, and quietly watching is infuriating, like watching a snake kill your pet rabbit or some shit. I deleted my account, there's nothing productive to be done about it, all you can do it ignore the shitshow and wait for it to blow over. On the upside if the solipsistic internet beggars do somehow become the prevailing social order they're still going to need someone to keep the e-begging servers up and they sure don't have any measure of actual technical skill in-house.

It's pretty crazy. Also, it's crazy to me as well how the left is over-represented in tech. And i don't mean just the weird feminazi veganarchist types either. I keep my mouth shut on Twitter about it, and do not even dare to criticize because it will upset people, and probably get me banned. But i sneak in a follow to right-wing commentators, voluntarists, and ancap(master race) accounts anyway.

I'm not sure I'm convinced that the left, at least that kind of left, really is over-represented, I tend to think there's a degree of (and I hate to use the term since it's so loaded these days) "silencing" and silent majoritarianism going on. If you talk to professional technologists, at least here in the bay area, articulated ancap politics aren't particularly strange and the most pervasive opinion seems to be a kind of half formulated "less taxes and freer market while retaining social services and consumer protection" sentiment. I think a lot of people keep quiet about it because it's become apparent having the wrong opinions can lose you your job. I feel bad sometimes, I've had coworkers sheepishly admit they voted for trump, oppose gay marriage, or are christians to me as if they half expect I'm going to disown them or report them to the gestapo or something. People have been conditioned to think that because I'm on the left I have nothing but disgust for people with different opinions.

It's really a toxic environment to have real political discussion in. I'm convinced certain very loud elements on the left have fostered an environment of persecution for political ideals that's like 80% responsible for the rise clandestine extreme right positions in this country. I mean go on /pol/ and read it. I have nothing against /pol/ existing but like half the shit people post there is stuff that no one would ever think to try to defend except in that echo chamber (and there's no lack of examples on the other end of the spectrum too). I have friends who post on /pol/ semi-seriously, it's like if you ask them seriously what they think, with the idea that they're talking to someone who doesn't necessarily agree but who isn't trying to be the thought police, they'll give fairly thoughtful fairly traditional conservative answers. But you turn them loose on an anonymous image board where they're fed an endless stream of unfortunate looking women telling them they're sexist scum for masturbating as if that's a real opinion the opposition holds then suddenly it's all "race war now!".

Bleh, whatever, even the meta commentary isn't productive even if it isn't actively harmful.

I think you may be correct on that. Of course i know not everyone on the left is a hardcore communist or radical marxist. But those who are that have actively fostered this sort of culture of "silencing" opinions that are not heavily left leaning have created an environment that prevents normal political discourse. In the long run, this is going to backfire and not only the radical left but center left and all other flavors of left leaning ideology will suffer because of it. I think therefore, that the sane people on the left ought to keep their more radical elements in check, if they care at all about their movement or ideology.

That's actually really interesting. I'm down with a minarchist system as a fair compromise all the way up to classical liberalism and generally more libertarian systems of government. Preferably i'd get rid of the government entirely, but a drastic reduction in size and power is acceptable to me from a pragmatic standpoint.

Yeah, it's insane you can actually lose your job for having the wrong opinion. You're a good person Lanny, i don't agree with your politics, but the fact that you feel for the people confessing their unpopular opinions to you and actually don't just assume they must be bigots for voting for Trump or dumb for the fact they're Christian or whatever, says to me you actually possess the thing most radical leftists & co, pretend to have and use as a justification for their politics; empathy.

Absolutely agree. And while i am glad the right in general is gaining momentum, i remain opposed to totalitarianism of any kind, left or right.
