   The Self Taught Man Black Hole
   So I got one today and I have to say Nintendo made a great move.
   This is the console that will save them and bring everyone back to Nintendo.
   Currently I'm playing it most in handheld mode.
   This is actually my now second favorite console of all time and I have only been using it for a few hours.

   Can't wait for dragon quest.
   Also deus ex on the switch would be awesome.

   They're doing pretty well with the Switch, it's been wildly successful so far. Plus they swept the awards season for 2017, they had the two highest rated games in history last year:

   As far as graphics go, they know they simply don't have the money to fight a war there so they're trying alternative strategies for now. For example, their Amiibo bullshit has been making bank. Now they're trying Nintendo Labor and I think all signs point to it being the next big fad.
   
   My theory is that they're trying to weather out these years until graphics tech has advanced to the point where it's largely irrelevant who has the stronger system, and then their USPs will win out. It's the long game, and the best strategy for their position.

   Neither Mario Odyssey or Zelda Breath of the Wild are worthy of "highest rated games", they're both pretty meh and cookie cutter.
   Even Windwaker and Super Mario Sunshine were better games.
   
   The Switch is plenty powerful enough considering it's a handheld and if you think of it from that perspective it's way more advanced than the PS4 or xbox 3.
   15 or so years from now when all 2D gaming is being streamed from high powered servers then graphics distinction will cease, but they'll need to rely on their IPs Nintendo has them as does Sony but microsoft is lacking any quality ones they'll probably leave the gaming arena and focus solely on mixed reality.

   I can't play video games that don't put me in direct competition with one or more other humans, it just feels like I am wasting the fuck out of my time and I would rather smoke meth and stare at the wall if given a choice.

    Is wind waker really that good? I didn't get a gamecube when that came out because I was disappointed about the wind waker art style. I guess that's kind of stupid. But I was like 12. and good looking for a 12 year old...
